Dear Wedgwood Families,
The crazy weather is behind us and the students and staff are all back to their daily routines. We were all very anxious to return to our community and finally schedule the MLK Assembly that the students and staff had prepared so well for. It was an amazing event with wonderful performances that really demonstrated great respect and honor of Dr. Martin Luther King. Thank you to the Assembly Committee and to all our amazing students both in the audience and on stage.
I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the PTA, the School Safety Committee and the district Safety and Security team for the amazing rally around traffic safety. The traffic conditions before and after school had deteriorated to an all time low, putting many of our students at risk. As a result, the different committees united as a team to implement a more efficient and safe student pick up and drop off. I sincerely apologize if you were caught off guard, but with issues around student safety we felt a sense of urgency and needed to respond immediately.
Please support us in keeping all our students safe by following and maintaining our pickup and drop-off guidelines. Thank you again to all who supported this very serious safety concern.
Best Wishes,
Veronica Gallardo
