Third Graders at Wedgwood have a unique opportunity to participate in Seattle Audubon’s Finding Urban Nature program. This program, however, cannot happen without parent involvement. We need at least two more volunteers to help with this program. The program runs for the next 4 Thursdays with an optional training session on Saturday.
The spring dates for Wedgwood are: Thursdays; March 13, March 20, March 27, and April 10 9:55-10:55: Mrs. Brickett; 11:10-12:10: Mrs. Williams.
The spring volunteer training is scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm, University United Methodist Temple, 1415 NE 43rd. Coffee, tea, juice, goodies, and a fast paced training will be provided.
You do not need to be a parent of a current 3rd grader to volunteer. If you have a 4th or 5th grader and loved the program, help keep it alive. If you are a parent of a younger student come see what your child will look forward to in 3rd grade.
To volunteer, contact Janelle Shafer, janelles at seattleaudubon dot org for more precise information. I’ll be there … will you?
