Wedgwood Chess Club

Chess Team

Our Goals

  • Learn good sportsmanship, teamwork, and graceful winning/losing
  • Reinforce good study habits (diligence, patience, perseverance, identifying and correcting mistakes, plus the rewards of hard work)
  • Beat our parents in chess
  • Learn how to think ahead, both strategically and tactically
  • Build friendships with other kids/families in the Wedgwood and broader communities
  • Fill up Wedgwood Chess Club's brand new trophy case (more large team trophies from the state tournament?)
