- Most tournaments have a separate kindergarten section, which ends earlier than the main tournament. Typically each kindergartener will win a trophy, independent of her performance.
- We encourage everyone to attend the featured tournaments marked in yellow.
- We would like a strong showing of the Chess Team at the tournaments.
- Some smaller tournaments (
) are especially suited to beginners. Some tournaments tend to be larger, and can be overwhelming (e.g., Bryant and ChessMates), but the featured tournaments may be fine for some beginners since we should have large groups in attendance.
