Playground Improvement Project
Parents and neighbors of Wedgwood Elementary School are spearheading a drive to renovate the playground at the school. It is our goal to create a beautiful and inviting play area for both school and neighborhood.
Students at Wedgwood have voted for a “sea life” theme for the playground!
Our plan calls for softer greener edges, a variety of play opportunities and gathering spaces, outdoor classrooms, native landscaping, and upgraded and expanded play equipment. This will be a multi-year project.
This fall we will be working on the small corner playground which is used by our special education classes, our after-school program, and young children from the neighborhood.
