Scrip
What Is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn money for Wedgwood.
How scrip earns money for us:
Scrip is purchased in large quantities by scrip providers. Because it’s large quantity and cash up front, the retailers provide discounts which are passed on to us. The percentage on the order form shows how much we make on each individual purchase. This can add up quickly!
Scrip is “shopping cart fundraising”
Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don’t have to sell anything. Families earn money for Wedgwood by making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, entertainment and gifts can be purchased with scrip. It’s easy!
How it’s done:
We provide a large envelope with your child’s name and room number. You send in your order form and check via kidmail, and we return the envelope with the scrip enclosed. We will also send via US mail if you provide a self-addressed stamped envelope.
